Bettina Müller-Mach

Bettina Müller-Mach was born in Dresden and comes from a family of musicians. She took her first piano lesson from her mother. From 1973 on, her training at the Music School “Paul Büttner” in Piano followed. Her teacher was Regina Metzer.

During this time, she successfully participated in “Small Bach Competition” in Leipzig (1975) and in the “Small Robert Schumann Competition” in Zwickau (1976). In 1976, she was admitted to the Spezialschule für Musik, which lead to studies at the Dresden College of Music “Carl Maria von Weber“ from 1981 to 1985 in Piano and Music Pedagogy, which culminated in a state exam and diploma. Her instructors included Wolfgang Plehn and Ingeborg Finke.

During these years, her special talent and interest were directed to improvisation. She completed post-graduate studies in Ballet Correpetition at the Dresden College of Music under Irene Wei?ing. This discipline was to determine her future career path. She began as ballet répétiteur in 1985 at the Fachschule für Tanz (Professional School of Dance) in Leipzig and changed to the Palucca University of Dance Dresden in 1987. Here, she accompanies principally ballet, modern dance, and TTI. She also has taken part in solo ballet evenings and school performances. In addition to this and in keeping with her training, she is also active as a piano teacher.
