ABOUT MY WORK

My method of instruction is based on my multi-faceted professional dance experience, my broad education at various schools and universities within the scope of modern and contemporary dance (Limon and Jooss-Leeder technique, floor work, ballet and somatic techniques), and my advanced dance education as a professional. My aim is not just to convey to the students a specific dance technique, but rather through the combination of different techniques, to teach them to find access to their bodies as an instrument. The variety of technical and dance-related challenges based on modern principles of movement should prepare students for a future career in professional dance and should help them better recognise and foster their individual talents.

In my lessons, I therefore focus on different, opposing qualities of movement (fragile-powerful/fluid-explosive), mastering the different spatial planes in relation to the various techniques, as well as elastic and free movement of the joints in combination with the natural breath to expand the body's suppleness.
