Profile

Students learn about dance in a complete and diverse way. In touch with practical classes with varied teachers of our staff and guests in classical ballet, contemporary and modern dance, improvisation, pas de deux, partnering, repertoire and composition, they can learn different skills, techniques, and approaches to find more freedom and strength in their dancing. With theoretical seminars and lectures, such as dramaturgy, dance and art history and analysis, Laban analysis technique, dance and media, dance and architecture, and dance management, students have the chance to also gain different perspectives and a deeper understanding for different layer of dance and its meaning and context, also developing an understanding for practical skills as a professional in the field of dance.

To ensure the best development as artists and professional dancers, the studies include several artistic projects, such as creational processes with renowned choreographers and performances of relevants repertoire, such as George Balanchine, Jiri Kylian, Ohad Naharin, Stijn Celis, William Forsythe, Aaron Watkin and others, but also have their own individual creational processes with their own choreographies.

The goal of the programme is to prepapre the young individuals for their career in a very individual and autonomous way, with a variety that is present in the dance world today.
