Secondary School

The Palucca University of Dance Dresden has an integrated secondary school where pupils between the ages of 10 and 17 can acquire a medium-level secondary school diploma. In combination with the required performance in the dance classes, a successful completion of the secondary level after grade 10 qualifies the students for admission to the BA Dance Programme at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden or for the transition to schools of higher-level secondary education.

In accordance with the School Concept, every pupil is educated in compliance with the Free State of Saxony’s curriculum, However, because of the daily dance training, slight modifications to the syllabus have been made.

Having a maximum of 20 pupils in each school grade, the integrated secondary school is the smallest in Saxony. National and international pupils can find a home-away-from-home here as well as a supportive culture in which they can experience active social interaction. A school social worker supports the students.
