Training for Sports and Music Teachers
The training programme is aimed at sports and music teachers in primary, secondary, senior secondary and vocational schools. All of the training events take place at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden, Basteiplatz 4 in 01277 Dresden.

Target Group: Primary Schools
Dance and dance movements are indispensable for the phyisical and artistic development of a child. Dance promotes both movement diversity as well as body perception and awareness and strengthens the creativity of the child. In this workshop, the imagination of movement and imagination, as well as social skills in dance, are taught under the guidance of dance educators, graduates and students of the MA Dancer Teacher Programme at the Palucca University of Dresden.
The participants deal with different directions and styles of dance. They expand their methodological and didactic skills in dance-pedagogical work with primary school pupils on the basis of the Saxon curriculum in theory and practice.

Target Group: Secondary Schools
Dance and rhythmic movement are indispensable for physical development as well as body perception. In addition, dance can improve strength and endurance as well as agility, stretching and coordinative abilities and increase creativity.
The workshop under the guidance of experienced dance educators, graduates and students of the MA Dancer Teacher Programme at Palucca University dresden strengthens competences in the teaching of the curriculum material in the subjects of sports and music in lower and upper secondary schools (I and II).
The participants deal with the basics of different styles of dance. They independently develop simple dance sequences as well as age-appropriate improvisational tasks and receive methodological-didactic tips for dance-educational work, health-oriented endurance training as well as support in the appropriate music selection for sports lessons.
